We were fortunate enough to be part of a young womans life as she made the most difficult decision of her life. I'm not sure if anything we said or did had any impact on her final decision, but we will be forever grateful that we were considered by this woman to raise her child. I do not regret that she discussed this with us and am at peace that she made the best decision for her life after careful consideration.
That being said, I will forever wonder about this baby that was mine in my heart, if only for a moment. For some reason, he will always be a boy with creamy brown skin, sweet curly hair and chubby cheeks.
