We debated on what to do, so we went to Liz's parents (also without power) and stocked up on wood for our fireplace and went back home. One of the babies that I keep and his parents stayed with us as well since they don't have a way to heat their house without power. We blocked off the outer rooms of the house and the fireplace heated the living room and kitchen quite nicely. We have a gas stove and gas water heater so we were able to cook and shower. All in all we faired quite nicely. The babies even got over-heated a few times. Here are a few pictures (the first one is our neighbor; the last one is the babies all snuggled up by the fire at Tammy & Danna's on that first day )........

Wow, glad to hear you're all ok. Those are amazing photos.
Ice storms are scary... I was in the middle of one a couple years ago when I lived farther north and my house was without power for a week. Pretty scary! Needless to say we ended up packing up the dogs and staying somewhere else!
